Dear Friends,

Life continues to be challenging for most people these days, but in spite of this fact or maybe because of it, we continue to hear of miracles of Divine intervention. The good news is that the percentage of people checking into Christian and Bible apps has risen greatly. The Lord Jesus can and does bring good out of bad situations.

Our wonderful Indian friends continue to use the negative situations in India to the advantage of spreading the good news of the Gospel. By coming alongside to help them we have been able to help many in very poor and desperate situations.

When we heard the news that our Pastor Johney in Kakinada had fallen ill with Covid 19 we were dismayed and spread the word to pray that he would recover well. At the height of his illness he had a dream. Two giant hands came down from heaven and squeezed his chest. The next morning he was much improved and has continued to good health. He praises his wife Sujartha for nursing him back to health.

Because of restrictions to gather in the churches many are using the internet to air their programs for children and adults. In this way they are reaching more people than would ever have fitted into their buildings. I do thank the friends who donated a good video camera so they can be more effective. Please pray for India and our people there, as many things are taking place there making their situations even more challenging than normal. Persecution and discrimination is increasing for all minority groups.

I am presently visiting family in Auckland, and happy I could drive up. I shared at Beauty for Ashes and Grace Community in Tauranga in July. I am planning a visit to Taranaki in November, and looking forward to connecting with the wonderful people there. Alan and Irene Morton will work with me, as they live in New Plymouth. My health is good except for my inability to walk alone. I keep working on the exercises and keep active in the local pool.

God bless you, and we do appreciate your support in prayer and financial giving. These are days when we can prove the Lord and His promise to “open the
windows of Heaven” and pour out abundance of blessing and provision. “Give and it shall be given unto you” Jesus said. I have proved this true in my life so many times. Let us move forward in faith knowing He is with us. “Be strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak and slack, for your work shall be rewarded.” 2 Chron. 15:7 Amp. I pray you and your family will be blessed and sustained as we move forward in these difficult times.

Shalom, Lovingly,

Nancy

Report from Bangalore…
Churches have been closed for months and movement has been restricted because of Covid-19. Ps. Tim and Blessy have partnered with “The Good Quest Foundation,” who have a license from the police to travel. Through this foundation they have been able to give essentials to needy children. Working with Tim’s father, Ps. Lawrence, they have been able to help other needy pastors, who have been suffering because of the effects of the Covid crisis. They are looking forward to normalcy being restored so they can continue their work with the slum dwellers.

Report from Gobi…
Anbu and Ebby along with GNLM have ministered into the Siruvalur Church of Ps. Shaumugen. Recently GNLM funded a Jesus Well in this very barren area.
Now the people are praising God for the supply of fresh drinking water from this new well. Anbu and Ebby, with their wives and sister Akila, faithfully run El Shaddai Orphanage in Gobi. They are grateful for the support and prayer they receive so they can be a blessing to the orphans.

Report from Chennai… (Ps. Samuel Paul)
By the grace of God and the support from GNLM we have helped the needy and helpless people around our area in this Covid-19 crisis. We have given rice, dahl, health flour, noodles and vegetables to pastors’ families, blind and leprous people, senior citizens and widows. Also we have given to the needy villages. Everyone gives thanks to the Lord and to our GNLM team. Pastors and their families, senior citizens, widows and our village people are praying for you all. Please continue to uphold us in your valuable prayers also.

Report from Narsapur… (Ps. Samuel John)
Covid-19 cases are increasing by the day in Narsapur. Six of our pastors including Pastor Bhaskar and almost ten Youth Arise young people were tested positive. By the grace of God almighty, each one of them is recover- ing well. The support money you have sent to help the poor last month was used for their medication and other food expenses. Please continue to pray for them. Many villages are recovering from the recent floods. A few of the villages where we have churches were also affected. There also we have sent some support money that you have sent to Juni. Thank you very much for your timely help. In a place near Narsapur there is a famous temple. In that temple, there is a vintage chariot that was burnt by some unknown person. Now the fanatics say that the church people have done that and they are destroying the church buildings nearby. Please pray God would intervene and many of them would come to the Lord.

Plight of the lepers…
Leprosy is a dreaded disease. It’s affects are so horrible. People shun lepers and they are rejected. Not only rejection, which in itself is painful, but there are the
physical effects of deformity. It’s a hopeless situation for the leper in India without the love of Christ. The conditions they are forced to live in are atrocious. They are short of food, and make do with the most basic of living conditions.

Global Nulife has a heart for these people and each year the team has contact with these precious souls. We give ongoing help to people with leprosy through the pastors we support in Chennai, Gobichettipalayam, Bangalore, Narsapur, and Kakinada. A promise we receive as we remember the poor is Proverbs 19:17. “He who is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will reward him for what he has done.”
