Nancy update: in Columbo, Sri Lanka

 

Sunday 14th February 10

 

Hi Family and friends:   

 

We are waiting for lunch here in Columbo after the morning meeting at Jesus Saves Church...three services this a m  Samuel Paul took the first two (very early) and I had the Tamil service with one translator.   But on Friday nights healing meeting I had to have two interpretors which is VERY challenging.....55 persons came to the Lord...Long lines for prayer and anointing with oil......they gave me a chair and an assistant which was just as well.  as we had only  just flown in and I had scarcely anytime to prepare for the message....but the Lord came thru inspite of my weakness...ears a bit funny owing to flying....Last night we went to the beach for a little while but it was dark already so could not see much....we may have a Leaders' meeting tomorrow but not sure....leave on Tuesday afternoon for Chennai.....I am recovering from the cold/cough as have rested and taken stuff etc  had two days at a Hotel by the beach in Madras and was on the bed most of the time....but all is well.......lovingly,

Team update: Nancy & team in Kakinada, A P India

 

Friday 29th January 10

 

Hi family and friends:

 

Blessings from Kakinada India.  We are all well.   Team is functioning well and over 100 people have come to Christ....dedicated new church bldg.  Yesterday we went to a remote village where Ps Jani is working and it is not without opposition from the M.'s.

About 50 persons attending.  Two hours drive from here.....

We had Leaders Day and gave lunch to 70 pastors....good time.   We had a Children's Crusade with 750 children in attendance....good time.  Last evening we were with the children at the Home....gave gifts etc.   Had meeting in Fishermans' village....good response with a children's meeting first and then adult meeting....four hours long !!

Jesus Well there and very popular....pTL.

Dear family and friends,   We are here in Narsapur with Samuel and Serela and are being well taken care of...good food & accomodation and so far some good meetings with quite a number coming to the Lord....This morning all the Leper people came and we spoke to them and gave out rice and clothes from monies GNL had sent....such dear people and responsive to the Lord and so happy with so little....the team is already functioning well and there is a good spirit among them..I am just beginning to feel "normal" as the no jet lag pills didn't seem to work as we had so much waiting time ...it surely was a grueling trip!    So glad to see Juni and his cousin waiting for us at airport in Hyderabad...could not have gone a step further!!  Had to find the domestic airport in Mumbai and go through quite a bit of security etc. Its really hard travelling internationally these days...   We were two nights in Hotel in Hyderabad then came here by night train & wouldn't you know...right next to me were two mothers with a toddler and a newborn crying at intervals ! Anyway after a challening time sleeping and keeping going, I am now fine and  the team functioning well so can now leave things to them if I have to.  I did stay one night as simply could not go anywhere!   The Lord is helping us and all is well....a good Leaders' meeting yesterday and so many coming around me to greet and pray for them.....I spoke three times and then last night we had the House of Hope Children time and they were really delightful with their songs and dances......team enjoyed themselves but it was a lot in one day, believe me!!   There is still a lot of activity ahead of us.  The Indians believe in using us to the max!   There have been a number who have come to the Lord already.   Thanks for praying and please continue...Pastor Johnny is driving his Jeep to Bhinavaram where we will be  on Monday to take us to Kakinada so that is good.....we will have a good time there I know....   Thank you for your prayers, Lovingly in Jesus,    Nancy
